On December 2, 2007, the congregation of Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church elected a Pastor Nominating Committee to find the leadership which will move the church into the next chapter of its life, faithful to the call of God through Jesus the Christ in this corner of Minneapolis. Members elected to serve are: Sue Goodspeed, Susan Hensel, Gary Johnson, Norm Petrik, and Barb Wilson.
With joy and anticipation, the PNC, with the consent of the Committee on Ministry of the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area, presents
Reverend Kara Root
as our choice to be called as the next pastor of Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church.
Kara will preach during worship August 10
at 9:30 a.m.
A congregational meeting will be held immediately following worship to vote on the recommendation.

With the guidance of the Committee on Ministry of the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area (Rev. Margaret Thomas - liaison), the PNC committed itself to a prayerful, thorough, hopeful process.
We are grateful to the congregation for its prayerful journey along side us, for its encouragement, for its trust, and grace during the past seven months.
