| IS SOMEONE GOING TO TRY AND “SAVE” ME? |
NO! At Lake Nokomis we don’t feel that some person can come along and “save” you or grant you salvation. We turn to the authority of Paul who said that we are all “…saved by grace.” |
| HOW DOES THE OFFERING WORK AT THIS CHURCH? |
There is one offering during the service, at which time a plate will be passed through your pew. You may choose to give or not to give as your conscience directs you. |
| HOW DOES COMMUNION WORK? |
Our communion table is open to all baptized Christians. We vary the form from time to time to try make the experience as meaningful for as many as possible. This means that Communion elements may be passed through the pews or, at other times, communicants may be invited to come forward to receive. |
| ARE TINY CHILDREN OR INFANTS ACCEPTED IN THE SERVICE? |
Children and infants usually are encouraged to stay with their elders during the first part of the service until the Pastor addresses them during the children’s time (sometimes called the “children’s sermon”). At that point they are free to go to a Sunday school class or are welcome to remain with their parents if that is more comfortable. There is nursery service available.
