Some of the ways in which LNPC reaches out to our neighbors...
- Providing an open sanctuary during Advent and Lent for personal meditation
- Driving regular routes for Meals on Wheels
- Launching the neighborhood tutoring program with the Field Regina Northrop Neighborhood Revitalization Project, through Northrop School
- Working for many years through Mystery Mission Trips, primarily for youth, and usually to provide disaster relief to regional sites
- Through ArtSpace, providing exhibit space for neighborhood artists
- Donating food and money to Simpson Food Shelf ~ click here for list of suggested donations.
- Providing an annual flu shot clinic in the neighborhood
- Donating money from the annual bazaar to local mission organizations
- Participating in TRUST, a coalition of congregations dedicated to mission in South Minneapolis
- Welcoming neighborhood groups and events into the building
- Commissioning young adults from the congregation to participate in the English language camp with the Reformed Church of Hungary
- Helping to resettle families after Hurricane Katrina with gifts of clothing and household goods and furniture, locally and through the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
