Advent Resources

Picture
Advent Began on Saturday, November 27 and goes 4 weeks until Christmas.

We will be drawing from Rabbi Amy-Jill Levine's book Light of the World.  You can buy the book if you'd like to follow along, paperback or kindle, or listen to it via audible. We will also be using video clips of Rabbi Levine.

This year's Advent Bags include tea light candles to be used with the Advent votive candle holders distributed last year. We are out of them, but if you need some, you might consider something like this or this.

Check out some great resources below for experiencing Advent as a family or individual.

DIY Daily Advent prayer Calendar
Mark the day-by-day journey to Christmas by praying/drawing on a blank calendar template. Pray for a person or write and meditate on an Advent word each day. Just the small amount of time it takes to fill the space with doodles and color each day can create a time of quiet, reflection, and listening to God.  Great for adults and kids!
