The Lisa Larges Congregational Care Fund

"...this love in us, this capacity to turn to one another, to learn and forgive, is grace at work in us -
and that work is the mystery we call the Holy Spirit." - Lisa Larges
The Lisa Larges Congregational Care Fund is designed to support a pastor to coordinate and equip the ministers (all of us), for congregational care, and to continue supporting the "enacting of the eternal promise of welcome and belonging, community and service" in and through Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church.
This fund has two goals:
1- To pay Lisa's annual salary ($13,000/year, 10 hrs/wk) as she leads and equips the congregation to live out the call of Christ, bearing one another's burdens and sharing each other's joys. As Lisa says, "So that by this love, and through this grace, and in the gift of the spirit and by the tending of community and the call to lay our hearts down in service, we may be love for this world."
2- To support the ongoing empowerment of the voice, gifts and ministry of all, within and through the community of Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church, as "together we enact the eternal promise of welcome and belonging, of community and service."
Two of our guiding convictions at LNPC are these: Each person belongs and participates from their particularities and passions, and
we all share responsibility for the ministry of the church. Lisa helps us live more fully into this identity and calling!
